Claiming treatment fees from your Medical Health Insurance Company
Health insurance companies will frequently refund all of the costs of sporting injuries. However, the total annual budget varies depending on the policy that you have.
In order to ensure that your medical insurance pays for your treatment, you should arrange for a GP or Consultant referral, before your first appointment. GPs are always happy to refer you to a sports injury specialist. Then ask you GP for a referral to the specialist to whom we have referred you.
Some practitioners have direct settlement arrangements, but you must ask for an authorisation number and bring it to your first consultation.
